Jean-Jacques Dupuis, DChD, MS, FICD
Since 2006, Doctor Jean-Jacques Dupuis
sees private patients in several London practices. This new venture follows a 15-year
span of private dental practice as
a General Practitioner in Paris (75008).
After a life-long search for
excellence in General Dentistry (Prosthodontics, dental laboratory work,
Implants, Endodontics, Periodontics, Oral surgery, adult Orthodontics) Dr.
Dupuis recently decided to expand his scope of practice to Endodontics at a
specialist level. He acquired an operatory microscope and just spent a full
year on a post-graduate program with Pr. Richard Kahan at the Eastman
Dental Institute in London. He
simultaneously visited the School of Dental Surgery in Paris where he was granted the honor and privilege to
assist his good friend and world-renowned Pr. Pierre Machtou in the internship program he runs there. From 1987 to 1992 Dr. Dupuis had
spent 5 very active years with the American Hospital of Paris as a consultant
dental surgeon and as the founding-coordinator of the Implant department
from 1987 to 1992.

Between 1978 and 1992, Dr
Jean-Jacques Dupuis had been practicing with the most famous dentists in
Paris ( Dr. Andre Rougeron, Prs.Pierre Marois & Marcel Rivault
), Monaco (Drs. Juan & Pascal Serrano, Jean Pierre Arnoux, Eric Fugier) and Moscow (Dr. Igor Shugailov) with
whom he was given the opportunity to treat many celebrities and leaders
from the political, fashion, movie, and top management fields.
This all happened thanks to an exceptionally
profitable 3-year stay, between 1975 and 1978, in Chicago, USA, at the
Northwestern University Dental and Graduate Schools.
This trip to America
had been carefully prepared as it had seemed to young Dr. Dupuis to be the only
chance for him to join the creme de la creme of French dentists. Indeed,
during his stay there, he had not only the opportunity to specialize in
Prosthodontics and to receive a Masters degree from Northwestern University but also was fortunate enough to spend
all this time only one block away from the American Dental Association’s
building and take advantage of this vicinity to pass the National Boards.
Thanks to the ADA, and to its famous Midwinter Meetings, Chicago is quite a
regional dental capital and hosts many top-notch dental surgeons (Dr. Olson
and Ed Bruen) whom Dr. Dupuis used to visit frequently and
assist while a student at Northwestern.
The time when he was a dental student at Paris VII
and Paris V Dental Schools is quite remote but the remembrance of Prs.
Raymond Leibowitch at “Montrouge”, Robert Dupont, Jean-Claude Harter
and Frederic Gombeau at
“Garanciere” in the heart of Saint-Germain des Pres remains deeply engraved
in his memory.
