Anna Gibilaro, BDS Hon., MSc, MS Orth, DDS, FDS RCS, FDS Orth
Dr. Anna Gibilaro is a
consultant orthodontist at Guy’s Hospital in London and has a private
practice in orthodontics at Cavendish Square near Oxford street and Harley street.
Dr. Gibilaro first
studied dentistry in the UK then in the US. She graduated with honors from the University College of London Dental School.
After completion of a 2-year program in oral
surgery and a gold medal received from the Royal College of Surgeons, England, she started a specialty
training in orthodontics at the Kings College of London (1990 - 1993). |
In
1992, she received her Masters in
Orthodontics from London University. In 1993 she became member in
Orthodontics of the Royal College
of Surgeons of England”and was
granted specialist recognition in the United Kingdom.
In 1994 Dr. Gibilaro
leaves for the USA, and spends her first 2 years at the University of North
Carolina, then moves on to the
University of Missouri Kansas City for 2 additional years as Associate
Professor.
She was then
part of the cranio-facial team at the Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas
City. While in the US, Anna
Gibilaro passed her Doctorate in
Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1998. She also was for 2 years chief Editor of Orthodontic
Review . Upon her return to the
UK in 2000 she became Fellow in
Orthodontics.
Dr. Gibilaro
contributed in writing orthodontics manuals and many scientific articles.
Dr. Anna Gibilaro runs a
private practice focusing on adults and children orthodontics with an
interest for complex multidisciplinary cases and cosmetic adult treatments.
Even though Dr Gibilaro might be proud of such an
impressive curriculum, she has
remained an incredibly modest , although fully dedicated practitioner.
